Calvin Little named new Executive Director
Following the announcement that Ellen Hope is retiring at the end of the year, and after an extensive search and selection process, we are pleased to announce that Calvin Little has been appointed Executive Director of Centres for Seniors Windsor.
Mr. Little's formal education includes an Honours BA in Recreation, as well as Certification in Philanthropy and Fund Development, Community Leadership, and Organizational Management.
He has held the positions of Executive Director, Information Windsor, Executive Director, Big Brothers Windsor Essex County, Manager of Fund Development Town of LaSalle, and Director of Resource Development and Communications, Hospice of Windsor Essex County.
Mr. Little currently serves as a Director on the Leadership Windsor Essex Advisory Committee, Chair of the Leadership Windsor Essex Marketing Committee and Member of the Leadership Windsor Essex Finance Committee. He is also serving on the Board of Directors of the Association of Fundraising Professionals - Canada South Chapter. Other past volunteer activities have been with organizations such as Canadian Cancer Society, Terry Fox Foundation, United Way/Centraide Windsor Essex County and Big Brothers Big Sisters Canada.
Mr. Little assumes responsibility as Executive Director on Monday, January 4, 2010.

Art Centre on the Go Workshop Information
The Art Centre on the Go will be hosting creative workshops at the Centres for Seniors Windsor through the months of January and February. Come and explore your creativity with local artists Kay Douglas, Jane Barlow, Peggy Buck, Daniel Dingler and Doug Johnson.
These workshops will introduce you to a number of new artistic and creative techniques and skills that anyone can learn.
Workshops will occur every Friday from January 8th through February 26th at the Centres for Seniors Windsor east (8787 McHugh St.) and west (635 McEwan Ave.) locations. Artwork from these workshops will be showcased at an art show at the Windsor Public Library in the month of March.
No experience is necessary, only a desire to learn, explore and create!
